The built in speech recognition software that comes with Mac OS X is garbage! Ok it's not that bad, but in comparison to MacSpeech Dictate it is. The birthday script was just one of many that I've been putting together to have my computer, now called Nigel thanks to my wife, be more interactive. I worked on it for hours and what ended up happening? I forgot to program in if it was NO ONE's birthday!!! So here is my updated code:
