AT&T not afraid of Verizon

AT&T's CEO Ralph de la Vega stated that he's not worried if Verizon gets the iPhone. Now he's not saying they are getting the iPhone but if Apple decides to go that route, AT&T would not be scared. He's basing his comments off AT&T's numbers. 70% of AT&T customers are on family plans, and 40% of AT&T customers are on corporate plans - both a pain to let go of. The current iPhone OS has WiFi tethering - but if you live in the US and are on AT&T you'd never know. AT&T has blocked the iPhone from using it's tethering capabilities, while international providers have given the green light. Rumors are flying today that with the new iPhone 4.0 will not only include WiFi Tethering, but a window pops up saying to please call AT&T to enable the service. Vietnamese site Tinhte has leaked another bit of Apple hardware. The consistency of these releases begs the question, is there a wide open leak at Foxconn or were these all acquired in one raid? Apple has seeded the latest version of their 10.6.4 release to developers for beta testing. The new release has improvements for VoiceOver* for iLife, and also USB, VPB and Graphic card performance.
With the releases of 10.6.4 beta's being more concise, we can expect to see a public release soon.
