Today a lucky few were surprised when they received a package from Apple containing the iPhone 4. Well one of those lucky consumers has posted a video to YouTube that he recorded with... what else but his new iPhone. Now this user did not record in 720p but the video quality is still pretty good. Don't believe me, check it out for...

Christmas Is Coming Early For Some…
Posted by Justin on Jun 22, 2010, Categories: Apple Stuff, iPhone
Even if you don't celebrate Christmas read on! It seems that some iPhones are being delivered via Fedex a day earlier than expected. Some people are already accepting delivery and even activating them! This is smart move on both Apple and AT&T's part. After they had to shut down both of their sites during the pre-order stage it would make sense that they don't want to run into trouble when everyone tries to activate their new hotness. Have you gotten your iPhone 4 yet? Comment below and let us know if you have and if you had any issues...

Apple Updates MobileMe finally
Posted by Justin on Jun 18, 2010, Categories: Apple Stuff
Apple released the new MobileMe site today. The site boasts a new Mail application, brand new Fine My iPhone app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, and a new navigation system.
MobileMe is $99/year and provides you an email address, and the ability to sync data amongst multiple computers and iPhone/iPad/iPod touches such as contacts, calendar and Safari bookmarks. You also get 20GB of cloud storage, and a place to share photos and movies.
Great looking site, but no new functionality.

The Trials And Tribulations Of A Mac Ninja – Lesson Learned
Posted by Justin on Jun 17, 2010, Categories: software, Virtua
As a Mac Ninja, I get this question a lot. "What did you learn today?" Sometimes it is a question I can easily answer and sometimes it isn't. Yesterday however, that question was easily answered. I started my day on-site at a client and was originally only supposed to go in for a simple Drobo installation. Unfortunately a simple Drobo installation turned into a "why can't I print from my PC?" Now as certified Apple consultants we try not to dabble too much into the PC world but when a client has a one off like this, it is hard for...

Tech Tip Tool Thursday – Should You Hack Your iPhone/iPod?
Posted by Justin on Jun 17, 2010, Categories: Uncategorized
As a consultant who deals with a lot of home users, I get this question a lot. "Should I hack my iPhone/iPod?" My answer to the person is always the same and that answer is no. Why you ask? You shouldn't hack your device because a lot of the software used to do it isn't that stable. Even though any piece of software available to use gives you detailed instructions on how to do it, I still wouldn't recommend you do it. I hacked my old iPod Touch a while back and was not happy with the way it worked after that....

Unicorns and Pegasuses in the wild (aka VZ iPhone)
Posted by Justin on Jun 17, 2010, Categories: iPhone
Despite the funny pic at Mactropolis, a taiwanese rumor site DigitTimes (not the one who released pics of the new iPhone or the new MacBook) have come forth and stated a CDMA iPhone is in the works, and is being built at Pegatron. They believe the new iPhone will be shipping from China to Apple in Q4 right in time for the September iPod event. I personally do not believe this, as in 2007 when the iPhone was released Jobs said 5 year exclusive contract. For those bad at math - 2007 + 5 = 2012! Sorry...
