The iPhone 4 is now available in Mexico on the Apple Website. Much like the Canadian version (unlike the US version) the phone comes unlocked. The iPhone is available on two different providers in Mexico - Telcel and Movistar...but since I don't speak any spanish (hey I took French in high school!) I can't seem to find any pricing. On Thursday, Netflix (aka the red envelope DVD in the mail company) released an app for the iPhone allowing users to stream your instant queue. The app is essentially an upgrade of the iPad version of the app which as been around since April. While you clearly lose screen size (compared to say your iPad or your computer) you can in resolution from the Retina display. Gizmodo reports that Apple wants to redesign the Audio jack. According to a new patent, Apple wants to consolidate the microphone and headphone jacks into one unified jack. According to the patent "in addition to using housing real estate, sound input apertures and electrical connectors introduce openings in the housing and breach the barrier that protects components inside the housing." Essentially the fewer holes in the case, the less chance for dirt, debris and dust to get in, less chance of breakage.
