347-369-4878For loyal Apple users, this is definitely great news to kick off 2013. Yes, of course Apple is constantly testing new software, creating updates, and forever tempting the masses, but to those of us who thoroughly enjoy Apple products, this is always exciting news!
According to The Next Web, developers spotted a device using the reference identifier in app usage logs, ‘iPhone 6.1′. The identifier, running on a device using iOS 7, was traced back to an IP address on Apple’s Cupertino campus. Real world app compatibility testing perhaps?
No, hardware or software specifics have yet to be released, and yes, perhaps the logs are fakes. Sources however have indicated that Apple had been testing a new version of iOS 7 in late 2012, giving reason to believe these are indeed genuine. By comparison, when an updated version of iOS 6 appeared in app user logs, the iPhone 5 was not too far behind.
