In news this week, Apple may plan to ditch Google Maps in the upcoming version of iOS 6.  The new Maps app will come with new feature and should be faster.  The move away from Google Maps was expected due to the nature of Apple and Google’s changing relationship from partners to competitors.  C3 Technologies was purchased by Apple recently and will do their streetview like 3d images in Maps.

The new Maps will likely be explained at the Worldwide Developers Conference in June.  Until then, we will have to wait and see.
