The guys over at Panic have finally released Transmit 4.0 – the latest in their FTP client. The new version boasts over 45 new features and 25 times the speed. They’ve also made it very easy to upload files to not only FTP but also SFTP, Amazon S3 or WebDAV. Graphically they changed Transmit to look a lot like the Finder – including Coverflow views, Folders before files, and even color labels. Panic also included the ability to mount any of your favorite FTP sites right onto the Finder as a disk – even if Transmit isn’t running.
Pricing is great – New users have to pay $34.00 and users of Transmit 3 can upgrade for $19.00. That’s not a lot to ask for considering Transmit is this bloggers favorite and only FTP client.
