Back from Vacation, and this happened

While I was away last week on vacation, I did my best to disconnect from the internet. While I did pretty well, this happened:

Apple announced it’s “Back to the Mac” event which will be taking place on October 20th . Leonard did not get an invitation, and is quite peeved about it. The guys at TUAW did:

Does anyone see a lion behind the Apple logo? Maybe a 10.7 preview?

Also leaked pictures of a new MacBook Air have arisen. We’ve already discussed the rumor about an 11″ MacBook Air, but MacRumors.com forum user diddl14 has posted this picture:

Looks nice – but we shall see. Apple always seems to pull a white rabbit out of its hat at the last moment.

Other news:
AutoCAD finally released their software for the Mac. A 30-day free trial is available for all users. For those not paying attention, AutoCAD is a 2d and 3d design software that hasn’t been available for nearly 20 years.

To date, Apple has not yet launched it’s white iPhone. With that said, a user claims to have a legitimate white iPhone 4 secured for him by a friend at Apple Corporate. This particular user claims the white iPhone has been delayed because Apple’s manufacturing partners are continuing to struggle with color consistency between the case and the home button. Apple, being the perfectionist that it is, would never let that product go out if it wasn’t 110% Steve Jobs approved.

Well that’s all the news ya missed. More to come soon!
