Microsoft has their hand in everything don't they? Well just don't touch my storm trooper cookie jar! Yahoo! and Microsoft's multi-year deal kicked off with Yahoo! swapping out their own search engine technology for Microsoft's Bing in the US and Canada on Tuesday. Later this year Yahoo! will transition to Microsoft's adCenter. After a takeover attempt in 2009 that went bad, Microsoft and Yahoo! struck a deal that would let Microsoft power Yahoo!'s searches and in exchange Yahoo! would be Microsoft's exclusive partner for advertising revenue. This is Microsoft's attempt to break into Googles share...

Earlier today I posted an article about how BBM will no longer be available in Saudi Arabia starting Friday. I am now here to talk about another loss that RIM BlacBerry Devices have faced. NPD reports that BlackBerry devices are no longer the top selling smartphones. The Google Android has succeed where countless other computers have failed, it has defeated its biggest enemy and gained control of the mobile platform war as the best selling OS. I bet that little green android is planning a dinner where he will invite the likes of Hal 9000, MCP, and Skynet...

A war has been going on for quite a while now and it doesn't appear to end anytime soon; I am of course talking about the Apple-Google war. As the customer we have been put into the middle of this all out war allowing us to reap the benefits of this rivalry. We'll it appears as if Apple is on the offensive this time. The Cupertino based company has reportedly bought Poly9, a Quebec based mapping company, and moved them to California.

They're here they're finally here! Pictures of the white iPhone, as well as the box, have surfaced and boy does it look pretty. I have to admit when I first saw the renders, that Apple posted, I was a bit skeptical... but now I'm sorry I ever doubted them. The new iPhone, in white, definitely evokes all the memories of my original iPod but it's more that that. Well if you want to see more pictures head over...

Ever want to watch a blu-ray or play Xbox on that beautiful 27" iMac screen? Well now you can; the good folks over at Belkin have released the AV360, an HDMI to mini DisplayPort converter. The AV360 will take any HDMI signal and convert it into a signal that your iMac can use. It is also HDCP-compliant and it will deliver stereo output. There are a couple of catches. First the price, Belkin has priced the AV360 at $150. The second is the box does not broadcast in 1080p, any 1080p source will be automatically downgraded to 720p. Is...

Today a lucky few were surprised when they received a package from Apple containing the iPhone 4. Well one of those lucky consumers has posted a video to YouTube that he recorded with... what else but his new iPhone. Now this user did not record in 720p but the video quality is still pretty good. Don't believe me, check it out for...

As a consultant who deals with a lot of home users, I get this question a lot. "Should I hack my iPhone/iPod?" My answer to the person is always the same and that answer is no. Why you ask? You shouldn't hack your device because a lot of the software used to do it isn't that stable. Even though any piece of software available to use gives you detailed instructions on how to do it, I still wouldn't recommend you do it. I hacked my old iPod Touch a while back and was not happy with the way it worked after that....

Ever since the iPhone launched in 2007 there have been rumors of a CDMA version for Verizon. Every time we hear about this Unicorn we get excited and then are extremely disappointed when we discover that rumors are nothing more than empty words. These rumors followed over to the iPad; many people thought the iPad would be on Verizon when it launched but this was not the case. When the iPad launched earlier this year the 3G version was on AT&T, not Verizon like we all hoped it would be.
