Ok this is kinda ridiculous, but the rumor mill is swarming with a new version of the iPad coming this holiday season. The iPad has only been out like 6 months!
FaceTime, Apple’s WiFi only video conferencing application on the iPhone, has been a big hit. Enough so that Apple has included FaceTime into the new iPod Touch.
So yes, there will probably be a camera in version 2 of the iPad, but will it be this holiday season – probably not. Apple can’t keep up with demand for the current model. Only recently has the ship time dropped from weeks to 24 hours. Also, with a new model coming out so soon after the original, all the early adopters would be PISSED OFF! Remember when the iPhone came out, and Apple dropped the price shortly after the release? Apple needs to give adequate time for the early adopters to be happy.
My feelings – Apple will probably show off a new iPad next year around the MacWorld time.
