Every time I forget that at one point in time Apple planned to release a white version of the iPhone 4 a new rumor pops its ugly little head and makes me get all worked up for nothing. So I am going to channel my inner Don Draper and write a formal resignation from following the white iPhone (if you don’t know what I mean when I say channel my inner Don Draper watch Mad Men Season 4 Episode 12: “Blowing Smoke”). This article will not be about the news that there is a possibility, again, that the white iPhone is going to be released sometime at a undisclosed date, if you want to read about that there are tons of blogs and news sources reporting on it go to one of them.
The White iPhone is like that girl that is never available; no matter how close you are you can never seem to land her and every time you think she is available she is swept away before you can even do anything. I’m tired of waiting for something that if you honestly take a good look at isn’t that pretty; sure the device itself is one of the best looking pieces of hardware I have ever seen but under the hood its not that impressive. The operating system, in my opinion, is too restricted and well frankly a bit boring not to mention the fact that it doesn’t multitask like the palm and lacks flash, which is available on android. Plus as beautiful as the hardware is it does not come without its faults: its extremely fragile, I feel like I am going to break the glass by just looking at it, and I don’t want to spend my entire time with a phone worrying about breaking it, that ruins the fun.
As much as I love the white iPhone I know that there are tons of problems not to mention the fact that I don’t want to get all excited about the possibility of a possibility of release. I can’t do it anymore I will no longer waste any energy on the White iPhone I am putting it in the same place as the Verizon iPhone locked away in the back of my mind pretending that it was only a figment of my imagination. So this is my last goodbye to a device that I said would never come out, in my last White iPhone posting, so I will reassert that belief to try and prevent myself from getting excited when anymore announcements are made.
