Xmultiple claims their new XP1-500 iPad Adapter can charge your iPad from any USB 2.0 connector. They state that iPads will not charge through USB ports on non-Apple Computers, but the iPad will charge on any USB on any Apple. This adapter allows you to use any USB 2.0 port to deal with “Not Charging” message. Currently I’m typing this post with my iPad plugged into the front of my MacPro and I’m getting the “Not Charging” message on my iPad, so I don’t know how well their claim is, but if you are will to spend the $4.95 – please let us know how it works out for you.
