347-369-4878iTunes is poised to take over the world, one song at a time. Apple announced on Wednesday that iTunes has surpassed over 25 billion downloads. The iTunes store is now accessible in 119 countries after adding an additional 56 countries in December.
And the hits keep on coming…For the first time Apple comprised more than 20% of the global PC shipments in the last quarter of 2012. The apt timed release of the iPad mini accounted for over half of Apple’s tablet shipments. The tablet market, as a whole, grew exponentially, with some estimates up to 75% over the previous year. For the first time though, Apple dropped below slightly below its normal 50% share of the overall tablet market for the first time since the iPad was release in 2010.
Yet another reason to hope for spring, an Apple authorized reseller in France reveled that Apple plans to release an updated Mac Pro desktop. The announcement that Apple is ceasing European Mac Pro sales on March 1st prompted Apple to assuage fears that an upgraded model would, in fact, be released soon.
