The country that manufactures the iPhone, and pretty much everything else, will be getting the latest Apple device. In the beginning of September China Unicom, that's the one that isn't owned by the Chinese government, will begin to sell the iPhone 4, or that's at least what one source told MarketWatch. In addition to bringing the iPhone 4 back to china, there are also reports that China Unicom will also start to sell the iPad at an undisclosed date. This new comes after Apple opened a second retail store in China, announced plans to open 25 more, and comments made...

Porn Loves Apple

If you remember correctly back in June there was a story floating around the internet about how the founder of Digital Playground said that he wanted to ditch flash. This was a huge story for two reasons: Steve Jobs was no longer on a lonely crusade to destroy flash and the porn industry is a deciding factor in the technology world, if you look at all of the tech wars porn usually has a hand in the outcome. In addition to siding with apple in the flash war the porn industry has decided to use one of apple's revolutionary products...

iPhone Hardware leader departs Apple

Mark Papermaster, a former IBM employee who Apple hired (despite IBM suing Apple for hiring him) as the iPhone Hardware Department leader has left Apple. No comments from Papermaster or Apple have been stated on whether or not he was let go, or Papermaster decided to leave voluntarily. Papermaster was in charge of overseeing the iPhone's hardware and the eventual Antennagate. Papermaster has only been with Apple since April 2009. He will be replaced by Bob Mansfield, a current member of Apple's senior executive team in his role as Senior Vice President of Mac...

iOS 4 jailbroken via Web Browser

The iPhone devteam found a way to jailbreak your iOS 4 device by going to jailbreakme.com with Safari on your iPhone. The release came out late last night, and the servers have been swamped since. Once you go to the site you will be presented with a slide to jailbreak screen and voila. If successful a message will show up that Cydia has been added to your home screen. For those questioning, technically this is legal now that the US Government has legalized jailbreaking! Image care of...

Will Apple Abandon the White iPhone?

Posted by Justin on Jul 29, 2010, Categories: iPhone, Misc

There hasn't been any official word on Apple abandoning the white iPhone, this is purely my speculation and concern. The reason I bring this up is because everyday there is news about another problem or delay of the white iPhone. The latest problem is that the phone is being delayed because of light leaks. Apparently the combination of the device being made out of glass and the white paint allow for more light to escape the device than Apple would hope for. Now I don't want them to cancel this device in fact I love it, when I first saw the render I thought it...

Filemaker Now Available For Your iPad/iPhone

Database creation software Filemaker is now available for download onto your iPhone and or iPad device. For you iPhone users, it will require you to run iOS4 and for iPad users you will have to run iOS 3.2. While the app is a steep $19.99, it is a one-time purchase and will allow you to update and modify existing databases you have created. While some will argue that this will now replace your Mac as far as database creation, this helps make it a lot easier to bring an iPad on-site to a client than a laptop. The app will...

“AntennaGate” Comes To An End

First off, I'd like to give a shout out to the guys over at Engadget who did a kick ass job of live blogging the press conference. Secondly, hats off to Steve Jobs and the rest of the Apple team.  They did an awesome job preparing for this press conference and I love how they made themselves available afterward for questions. To start off, Steve pulled a classic move and spit out a lot of data about the iPhone 4.  For starters they have sold 3,000,000 phones since it was released three weeks ago.  It is the best selling product they have...
